This may seem like a ‘humble brag,’ but I really need to shout out my incredible co-workers. They never ask for praise or attention when they give to charities year after year, and this year we added a couple of new ones.

In a short timeframe, they stepped up (as they always do), and they make me proud to be part of their team.

How does it hold up?

This blog from January 2017 talks about the
5 Ways Workflow Automation Reduces Employees’ Stress. With all the adapting companies have had to do this year to more digital and virtual workforces, plus the pivots to new revenue streams and delivery methods, I’m curious if your workflow automations changed.

Did they stay the same, evolve into something a little different, or did they have to get dropped for entirely new, on-the-fly processes?

Were there workflow projects you intended to get to that were sidelined by other events?

And would you and your employees agree with the 5 points in this blog, or is it outdated now?

Naturally, I want everything on our website to be current, and as I do my end-of-year audit, I see plenty of things to update. I don’t want to remove information that’s
helpful though, no matter how old it gets. So please, any time you have comments or suggestions, don’t hesitate to reach out. It’s for you, after all.

Nearly 100,000 small businesses that temporarily shut down this year are out of business. And that stat came from Fortune.com 2 months ago.

It’s truly heartbreaking.

And we’d like to help protect those businesses we can that are still out there.

So if you know anyone who suffered a breach on top of everything else this year, or could have used a more flexible phone system with so many working from home, or just wanted a little more from their IT partner,
please tell us.

We might be able to make things a little better for them, and we ‘re always willing to have a conversation.

Hack Proof Your Biz book

The book our CEO co-authored is out…and it’s a #1 bestseller already!

Granted, I don’t mean it’s in Oprah’s book club and selling a million copies, but being a hit in the relevant technology categories is still a success.

We’ll be offering some free copies via digital drawing soon, so keep an eye out for details. Congratulations again, Chuck!

Please also keep encouraging the eligible graduating seniors you know to apply for our Anniversary Scholarship. The prize is two thousand dollars.

In case you missed it, Chuck also provided some expert advice to WTOC recently:

One segment talked about the Zoom credentials breach and how you and your team can stay safer while working remotely.

Another segment discussed the hidden dangers of certain social media trends and ‘challenges.’

Follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn for more current news and information.

Special Notice:

Even though it may feel as if the world has gone mad, there are still some things you can rely on. Your Infinity team is already optimized for and comfortable with remote work, so you can still contact us for service and support.

Granted, we have made some changes for our own safety and yours. For example, most non-essential on-site visits have been postponed. You can still request anything you need, but we may need to schedule the work for a future date.

We’re also seeing certain pieces of equipment become harder to obtain as logistics channels slow down around the world. Again, you can still request anything you need, but certain items such as PCs might not be available right away.

Whether in the office or working from home though, we are still here for you. Email support@infinityinc.us just like you always do, and we’ll be happy to help.

Schools may be closed and some graduation ceremonies getting canceled right now, but we will get through this. And planning for more normal times ahead can help alleviate some of the uncertainty and fear we feel now.

So if you know an eligible graduating high school senior, encourage them to apply for our Anniversary Scholarship. The prize is two thousand dollars.

So please vote once a day every day through March 30th.

And if you’re up for one of the awards, let me know! We’d be happy to return the favor.

There are software firewalls and hardware firewalls. Your home internet setup may have a software firewall, or you may enable one on your laptop or home computer. Your business will most likely have an additional hardware firewall that protects your entire network and has been configured and managed by trained experts. At Infinity, we take a layered approach. Learn more and watch a video about it here.
Community & Partner Spotlight
This month’s Spotlight is not for one specific business. Rather, it is a heartfelt request to continue to support our local economy in any way you safely can.

  • One suggestion has been to buy gift cards. The company gets the money, and you or the recipient of the gift card can redeem whenever.
  • Another idea has been to get takeout from restaurants having to close their dining rooms. Many are offering curbside pickup, and some have delivery options as well.
  • Financial donations are still very much appreciated by all our area nonprofits.
  • And of course, you can continue to shop online. Not just from Amazon, but at many of our local stores.

Groups like the Savannah Chamber and Buy Local Savannah have more information and ways to help keep our community going.

Whether you believe the response to this virus has been overblown or not, the reality is that we will all be feeling the impacts for quite some time to come. So at the very least, let’s try to remember to deal with each other as fellow passengers on the journey, kindly and respectfully.

Please let us know if your Infinity team can help.

💡 Tech Tip: Phishing with a Safety Net

Experts agree that a) people can be the biggest vulnerability to a company’s security and b) that ‘live fire’ training is the most effective way to combat that.

With the massive uptick in phishing campaigns about COVID-19, and the added issues of a workforce using home networks for business purposes, how confident are you that your team knows how keep your network safe?

Simulated phishing campaigns that provide immediate feedback and training can help your employees to stay vigilant and keep your network safe. Contact us to learn more about the campaigns available or to request a demo, and get more general protection tips here.
